Who I am
I could start with a philosophical argument about not truly knowing who we are, but let’s cut straight to the point: you are whatever you think you are. Your actions, habits, relationships, memories, the games you play, the food you consume, and the people you surround yourself with—all of these shape you. That’s what makes you unique.
It’s natural to feel like no one can fully relate to you when you’re trying to figure yourself out. Regardless of your age or upbringing, at the end of the day, you are responsible for yourself. Most of me believes that everyone should embrace individualism. Whether you’re religious and think you have a divine purpose or an atheist who stands by reason and self-determination, the common thread is the ability to think for yourself and choose your own path.
Self-reliance is the greatest superpower you can have. Sleep on that. Would you rather be yourself or live your life for others?
Never mind the tangent.
A bit about me
I’m a teenager who loves engaging in topics like these—probably deeper ones, but not today. I’m 17 years old in 2025 and will soon be a senior in high school by the end of the year. A lot has happened in my life, and I’m currently debating whether college is the right path for me. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have doubts. My parents are first-generation immigrants to this country. We don’t come from wealth—I’d say we’re middle class—and adjusting to life in America has been a mix of similarities and differences. The food, the people, the culture… it’s all so different yet familiar.
One thing I love about America is its liberty. I respect the freedom people have here—though, in some ways, I feel it’s too tolerant.
My Hobbies & Interests
I’m passionate about a lot of things:
- Drawing, writing, dancing, and singing (though I keep the last two private—still working on the courage there)๐ .
- Watching movies with friends, playing chess and piano(I am a learner and I suck at it)๐.
- Reading and planning๐—I can’t go a day without planning; otherwise, things might turn out bad.
- Anime. I’m new-gen, but I love retro classics like Cowboy Bebop๐ค ๐ต๐ป.
- Football (soccer) โฝ—playing it, watching it, and talking about it.
- Practicing in front of the mirror for… well, anything. Call it preparation or self-improvement.
- Building Lego sets and playing video games๐ฎ—yes, I’m a nerd, and I wear that title proudly. Most people act like it's a bad thing.
- Going to the gym/working out at home.๐ช
Why I Got Started
I’m selfish, truthful, and unafraid to share my opinions. I’ve made mistakes in the past, and I know there are others out there like me. Maybe you’re an ambivert or introvert who cares too much about what people think. I’ve always despised that mindset of not being yourself for the sake of others. It’s why I embrace being rebellious—not in a chaotic or existential way but as someone who values individuality and stays true to their ideals.
I’ve realized there are people out there who would love relatable content from someone who thinks like them. That’s what drives me: creating a space where people can feel seen and understood.
So, here’s to being unapologetically yourself—for yourself, not for anyone else.
I made a personal quote that is used to reassure myself in times of anxiety:
I am the eminence of thyself - Adry Logic
